I kind of want to set an official date for our anniversary. But I haven't got a clue where we started.  XD

I'm curious.

What date do you guys choose to mark an anniversary - the date when you became "official"?

How do you know when it's official? Is it the date you first starting talking? The date when s/he said I like you and want to be with you? Is it when s/he first said "I love you"?

If you met online, is it the date when you first met offline?

What if you've never met IRL, hesitantly became an "online couple", got frustrated and broke up, came back together, and then finally met each other IRL? Is it the date when you've reunited? (I hope that makes sense; this is my case!)

Is it when its become SD?

...Or do you just pick a random date with no significance and make it your anniversary?

Today, I found that my Facebook account had been hacked, and all my friends were deleted. As I tried to add them all back, Facebook reported me as a hacker for adding too many people too quickly. FML

Today, I got in an elevator at a hotel. Just as the door was closing, somebody banged into the door and stuck their hand through. I yelled, "What, are you retarded?!" The doors then opened to reveal a mentally handicapped boy with his parents standing behind him. FML

Today, I was playing with my yo-yo. I began showing off to my friends. When the girl I liked walked by, I thought it'd be really cool to do the move "dog bite". I ended hitting myself in the balls. Hard. FML

Does anyone have the Lost University login that came with the Blu Ray and isn't planning on playing? I have a DVD player, that's it, and no money to get a Blu Ray. I have been waiting to play LU and was devastated to find it wasn't available to me. If anyone has a code and would like to give it to someone who'd definitely appreciate it, I would love you!

I have been hanging out in Oahu the past few days and decided to spend sometime exploring some of the "lost sites" this afternoon. I started at an airfield in the north (I was skydiving) where I heard that they store the fuselage. I asked the woman at the skydiving office for directions and she gave them to me. She also mentioned that they were filming Lost today, about 10 minutes away. I got pretty excited about this.

30 minutes later I was at the filming location and was really glad I went. There was a major character doing a scene (many retakes) and afterward the character came over to the small group of onlookers and spoke with us, shook hands, took photos etc....

I finished off the day by locating the cockpit to the plane on the other end of Oahu.

So I am an extremely new knitter. The only stitches I know how to do, currently, are knit, purl, and cabling. Which limits my knitting repertoire to scarves, dishcloths, etc. However, for a friend of mine's wedding, I would really like to knit her some finger-less gloves. Does anyone have any sites/videos that will help me learn how to do more intense stitches, such as dropping stitches, yarn overs, etc? Also, does anyone have a nice pattern for fingerless gloves that I can work on? As long as the price is reasonable, I'm totally OK with paying a few bucks. I'd really appreciate it.

I'm currently on the active pills of birth control, (I take one called monofeme if that's relevant) but today I had some spotting. Pretty light, but I'm not sure if it's stopping or if I'm going to get my period (I'll update in the morning with which)
I've heard before that getting your period while on the active pills can be a sign of pregnancy? I had sex with my boyfriend a few days ago now, we always use condoms although there is some penetration before we put one on. I don't take my pill at the same time every day, I use it as more of a skip periods when I need to thing than a birth control thing (But I am planning to start taking it more regularly soon)
So, should I be freaking out that I'm pregnant or is it nothing?

Today, it was my birthday. My girlfriend took me out to dinner. While at the restaurant, she went to the bathroom. She was then escorted out of the restaurant for having sex in said bathroom. I was sitting at our booth the entire time. FML

Today, I set up a miniature nativity scene in my apartment. Three hours ago, my dog decided it would be a good idea to eat baby Jesus. Two hours ago, the vet laughed and said not to worry because I would 'have him back in time for Christmas'. FML

I tossed my pack of BC in my bag and a few pills got shattered. The seal hasn't been broken, but the pills are in a few different pieces inside the packaging. Is it okay to take the pills in separate pieces? What if some small parts got powdered and I only take about 95% of the pill - how much does it matter? Or should I just not take the broken pills?

I have wonderful news for those of you who, like me, have been following the British Airways strike planned for Christmas (12/22-1/2): The union has been blocked from striking! Regardless of the legitimate reasons or the illegitimate reasons behind the strike, I am just SO relieved that this won't interfere with me seeing my boy next week! It's been four-and-a-half months, and being so close yet so far would drive me bonkers! Thanks, everyone, for your well-wishes, crossed fingers, and positive thoughts:)

I am absolutely at my wits end right now. I have had yet another full set of vaginal swabs done and again everything has come back negative. This time, I had a doctor and a nurse tell me I most definitely had candida, I have a lot of white discharge, pain and itching, but the test says not. It's one thing to have a repeated/ongoing yeast infection (the itching/soreness has been on and off for the last 6-8 weeks), but how can it not show up? Whatever it is is also not responding to OTC yeast meds. It's not chlamydia, it's not gonorrhea, it's not BV, not trich. I've had ongoing problems for the last few years but this is the worst one in terms of symptoms. What on earth could it be?

Not happy with my birth control right now.

I've been using the Nuvaring for a long time, since I had my child 4+ years ago, actually. Lately, I have been using the method of keeping the ring in 4 weeks and then just putting a new one in to skip my period after that. (It's been approved as okay to do by my doc for those of you about to say you should only do 3 weeks...) I've done it for 2 months and this would have been my last month before I'd stop to get a period on purpose.

Well, my body didn't want any of that. I got my period while I still had the ring in, a good two weeks before I was going to take it out and have it on my own. They're calling it "breakthrough bleeding", I call it my damn period.

And to top it all off, the ring must have fell out sometime yesterday when I was taking my tampon out. So I am going to my pharmacy to get a new one and am encouraged by the lightening of the blood as hopefully it's a sign the damn period/bleeding thing is going away. And, needless to say, I do not intend on keeping the ring out for at least another 12 weeks from today. I'm calling that my quarterly period and am done with it.
